Moneypenny Team Manager completes incredible solo charity run

Moneypenny Team Manager, Lorraine Rogers, had a busier weekend than most, running 48 miles in 48 hours!

When an annual charity night was postponed due to the pandemic, Lorraine - who heads up our Outbound Team here at Moneypenny - knew she had to do something.

Instead of the usual evening of fun, Lorraine completed the David Goggins 4x4x48 challenge, which involved running 4 miles, every 4 hours, for 48 hours.

The first run was 8pm on Friday evening, with the last few steps being taken late Sunday afternoon, before a well-deserved glass of fizz and a refuel from The Fat Boar.

Lorraine's fundraiser was in aid of the charity Beat Eating Disorders, and in memory of her friend Anna, who sadly passed away 4 years ago.

Hitting her target of £500 more than 2 weeks before her run was due to take place, Lorraine said: "Wow! Thank you so much to everyone who has donated and has sent me messages of support, I’m completely overwhelmed."
