Moneypenny hero makes life-saving donation

Moneypenny's Senior Helpdesk Technician, Sam McNulty, has begun the life-saving stem cell donation process, to help make someone's 2020. 

Back in May 2019, we invited the Anthony Nolan trust into Moneypenny, giving our team the opportunity to join the stem cell donor register, to be ready and waiting to donate stem cells and save someone's life.

This week, our very own tech hero, Sam, has started the procedure of stem cell donation to help save someone's life. For Sam, this particular cause is one very close to his heart, having lost a close friend to leukemia, which prompted him to join the Welsh Bone Marrow Donor Registry a while back.

When he found out the incredible news he was a matching donor, he made the journey down to Cardiff to begin the final tests before the full procedure, along with his partner Steph - just 5 days before she was due to give birth to their baby boy!

We are absolutely bursting with pride! For someone with blood cancer, a stem cell transplant from a matching donor could be their last chance of survival. Registration to become a donor takes just 5 minutes and involves a simple cheek swab and a straightforward form - but your support could give someone, their family, and their friends a second chance of life.
